The graph above shows the reduction of Aragonite Saturation around coral reef inhabited areas due to the effects of Ocean Acidification. If ocean acidification escalates, how scientists predict it will, there would be tremendous consequences for all sea animals that produce or use any form of aragonite. This means that all of the creatures shown below would be at risk.

In conclusion, when CO2 was added to seawater only, the pH of the water dropped. When it was introduced to the aragonite sand, the pH of the water dropped, and the total mass of aragonite sand decreased as well. On the other hand, CO2 did not effect regular beach sand at all. There was no change in mass, but the pH of the water dropped as it did with the other two instances.
